Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park covers more than 415 square miles of alpine terrain along the Continental Divide and welcomes over 4 million visitors annually — making it one of the most-visited national parks in the country. The Beaver Meadows Visitor Center entrance sits at 1000 US-36, Estes Park, CO 80517, roughly 35 miles from downtown Longmont via US-36 West through Lyons. Trail Ridge Road, which crosses the park at over 12,000 feet, is open seasonally — typically late May through mid-October, depending on snowpack.
Groups visiting during peak summer weekends should note that the park operates a timed entry permit system; check the official ROMO timed entry page before your visit. A charter bus drops your group at the visitor center while everyone else circles the overflow lots.
